Course number 8456 is approved for 1 CLE, and 1 certification credit each in Real Estate and Tax Law. REGISTER

Are you or are you not a U.S. taxpayer? Income tax treaties have a set of rules that define when you are a resident of a country for income tax purposes, and what happens if both countries claim you as a resident. When can you use these rules to be classified as a nonresident of the USA for income tax purposes? We will talk about how treaties work, when to use them, and how to claim treaty resident/nonresident status.
